Track 1 -- I first heard on an 8-track player on a houseboat in a lake somewhere in Illinois.
Track
2 -- This is a recreation of the 45rpm release. The A-side of the
record had only the song "Mr. Bojangles." The B-side had the song,
prefaced with an audio clip, "Uncle charlie and His dog Teddy." Decades
later I discovered that the spoken material was from a different spot
on the original LP, but I crossfaded them to try and recreate the 45rpm.
Track 14 -- Another 45rpm-only track, the flip side of the vocal version released as a single.
The last track is from a promo 45rpm handed out at record stores, obviously as an attempt to sell (even more) Coca-Cola.
