Out with a BLITZ!

I really enjoy the books of Daniel O'Malley, about YET ANOTHER shadow history we didn't know about until now.

The Rook and Stiletto were the first two books, which I gobbled soon upon discovery.  Blitz, from 2022, followed into my brain's voracious appetite.  But ... wow ... what a challenge to read!
Here's a shot of the library copy I read.
Take a gander at a view of the bottom edge of the closed book.  Hmmm ... interesting, huh?
Look what came after page 440!
What I had to do was flip ahead to page 473, turn the book upside down, and read the upside-down pages 441-472.  Then when I finished the upside-down section, it was back to forward reading.
The funny patterns visible in the first photo's bottom view are explained when you see the pages which look a little nibbled-on.

The entire book is there, just rearranged a bit.  I'm sure this whole thing would be viewed as accidental, but I LOVE this sort of happenstance, don't you?

And with this post we wind up this year's edition of APRIL FOOLISHNESS. But never fear! We'll see you right back here on Thursday for the commencement of this year's MUSICAL MONTH OF MAY, with a new comp every Monday and Thursday!
