Here's a flashback to the time when those who were up-to-date wore polyester leisure suits. More specifically, this is from the January, 1978 issue of STARLOG, which means it's cover-dated the month and year some crazy lady was injudicious enough to marry me.

About a year after this article appeared, we bought our first home computer, a Commodore 64. We got it from Montgomery Wards. It came with a 1541 floppy disc drive and an mps-801 dot matrix printer. I believe the whole she-bang cost almost $1200, on our Wards charge card.
