A Very Old Owl

Just a little bit today, with a lot o' history.

Ya see, this owl has been haunting me for 65 years.  I colored it (mostly) in October 1961.  This was in Kindergarten.  I had just turned five.

I say "mostly" colored.  Note the literally empty, staring eyes.  I didn't add a single touch of color.  I just left the mimeographed concentric circles untouched.

Did I independently -- at five freakin' years old -- invent the concept of negative space?
